Things to consider before starting

• Is there a theme for your mix? What is it?
• Who is your audience?

 

Some "rules" for building your mix

• Limit yourself to no more than two songs per artist (try not to use more than one if possible)
• Look for songs that are not as well known
• Consider many different track orders
• Choose your firts and last tracks carefully
• Music from different genres is okay, just pay careful attention to how they sound together
• Find or make cover art that reflects the theme of your mix
